Eclipsed Desires

Behold life’s tapestry, an intricate enigma spun in words,
An oxymoron’s dance, a paradox in every phrase,
Life’s fairness, an elusive specter, gracing riches with glory,
Yet shrouding the humble in obscurity’s shamed embrace.

Why, I ask, must this chasm persist,
Why can’t we find a path, a bridge to mend,
For in the realm of true equality, I firmly stand,
Where man and woman in unity transcend.

Seek not equality where it’s needless, my friend,
But rather, let’s wage a noble battle,
Against the vast abyss that divides us so,
Where empty pockets in poverty’s grip do rattle.

Here I stand, my heart’s cry clear and bold,
Yearning not for grandeur, nor for fame,
But for the basics, the essentials of life,
To break the shackles of poverty’s cruel game.

Poverty, an unjust burden we must collectively defy,
Let’s grant the poor their rightful place,
With respect, dignity, and a world of grace,
Erase the falsehood that mocks their face.

Together, let us rise, united we’ll soar,
Against the common foe, poverty’s reign,
In unity, we’ll rewrite destiny’s lore,
And bring forth a world where all hearts regain
